All Change Starts With Identity

True transformation is difficult, whether its at the level of an individual person or scaled all the way up to large scale societal constructs that affect the world and our species as a whole. In the 21st century, we need to develop more nuanced understandings of how change works, both at the level of the individual and humanity as a whole.

One way I like to visualize this is from a dualistic perspective. There's an "internal" perspective we all have from the point-of-view as individual beings. This is our reality where we are the center of our own little universe. Then there is the "external" perspective where we understand that we are finite beings and that our share in this life is a small fraction of the totality of the human experience.

In each perspective there are four (4) elements which are at affect. As individuals, your reality is shaped by your own subjective perception of the objective truth. Your perceptions are built upon your beliefs, and your beliefs are built upon your identity. But, what really is identity? Identity is not permanent and can be rewired/shaped with self-work. By starting at the level of identity you can create new realities for yourself by building new belief systems and therefore altering your perceptions of the world around you.

Just keep in mind that the world "your reality" is just that; it's subjective. In the inverse, actual reality is based on objective truth, which feeds the perceptions, beliefs, and identities that constitute humanity.
